Saturday 2/2 Post Run

Although we had a small turnout this morning, (James, Bruce and I) the run was great. Kudos to Joel for pointing us to the Chisholm Trail. The trail is really beautiful and has a lot of advantages that make it a good selection to add to our regular rotation. It runs along both sides of a creek (White Rock?), has water fountains fairly evenly spaced and has numerous bridges that will allow loops of different distance. Starting and ending at the Einsteins was great for ease of parking and a post run coffee as well. The trail was well populated with runners, not too many bikers, and seemed to be safe.

I hope those of you who are battling the flu or whatever is going around, feel better soon. It is wise, especially this time of the year, to take a multi-vitamin daily. Running distance, especially 15k and up, will definitely tear down your immune system and leave you vulnerable after a hard work-out.

I'm sorry I missed this run. Running a low grade fever and all the benefits of a stomach flu make it difficult to run. I'm glad you enjoyed the trail and I hope you we return here soon.

Looks like this "creek" heads to Lake Ray Hubbard.

White Rock Creek is west of where we were.
